Places Of Interest
Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda
This sacred pagoda houses five gilded Buddha images, and it is one of the most revered religious sites in Myanmar. During the annual Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda Festival, the Buddha images are placed on a decorated barge and paraded around the lake.

Nga Phe Chaung Monastery
Nga Phe Chaung Monastery is a beautiful wooden monastery built on stilts around 200 years ago over the Inle Lake. It is considered the oldest and largest monastery in the Inle Lake region. Locally known as Jumping Cat Monastery, Nga Phe Chaung Monastery is best known for the cats that were trained to jump through hoops.

Indein Pagoda
Located on the western bank of the lake, Indein is an ancient pagoda complex with hundreds of stupas of varying sizes and conditions. The area is known for its atmospheric ambiance and scenic views.

Floating Gardens and Villages
Inle Lake is renowned for its distinctive floating gardens, where local farmers grow crops on the lake's surface using a technique involving bamboo poles and water hyacinths. The lake is also home to several floating villages built on stilts, where you can observe the unique lifestyle of the Intha people.

Ywama Village
Ywama Village is known for its skilled artisans and traditional crafts. One of the main crafts you can observe here is silk weaving. Local women operate traditional looms to create beautiful silk fabrics and textiles, which are then used for traditional clothing and other products.
